Where can I store my luggage near the Colosseum in Rome?
Roma Segreta Apartments runs a self-service luggage storage at Via della Polveriera 42, in Rione Monti, under 100 metres from the Colosseum, about two minutes on foot, and a short walk from Colosseo station on Metro Line B. It is open 24/7 to all travellers in Rome: you do not need to be a guest of our apartments to use it.
Is the luggage storage open to everyone or only to Roma Segreta guests?
It is open to everyone visiting Rome, including travellers who are not staying with us. Anyone can book a spot, drop their bags and explore the city hands-free, whether you have an early arrival, a late departure or a long layover. Guests of Roma Segreta's two apartments at Via della Polveriera 40 store their bags free of charge before check-in and after check-out.
What are the opening hours of the luggage storage?
The facility is fully automated and open 24/7, every day of the year. You can drop off and pick up your bags at any time, day or night, with no fixed time slots and no staff to wait for.
How much does luggage storage cost near the Colosseum?
Prices start from €2 for small bags, such as backpacks and cabin cases, and from €5 for large bags, such as full-size suitcases. The exact price depends on the size of the bag and how many hours you store it, and is shown in the app before you confirm.
How do I book and pay for luggage storage?
Everything is handled through our app: you book your spot, pay online, receive the code to open the storage and check out, all from your phone. There is no queue, no reception and no paperwork.
Is the luggage storage secure?
Yes. Access is controlled automatically through the app, and you open the storage with your own code. Any insurance option is shown in the app before you confirm. We recommend keeping passports, cash and essential documents with you.
